Giving this information in the Lok Sabha today, Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said the goals of reducing mother and infant mortality rate in the country will be realised during this period.
He said 13 crore children are being given iron and zink tablets in addition to nutritious food. Nearly 500 maternity wards were established at sub-district level to provide state-of-the-art medical care to women and children.
