It doesn’t matter if you work as freelancer in your previous profession after official retirement or start something completely new like your own business or engage in volunteer work, as long as you really challenge yourself with it and leave your comfort zone. Ambitious physical exercise will result in the same positive results for your brain, whereas keeping yourself busy with Sudoku and crossword doesn’t have an anti-ageing effect on the brain.
